Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa, Carlsbad

My family and I had high hopes for this hotel, but our experience didn't quite match the expectations. While the pool area was enjoyable and perfect for our little ones, we encountered cleanliness issues that overshadowed our stay. The dining options were decent, but the overall service did not live up to the standards we expected from a resort spa. It's a shame, as the location was pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend this place based on our experience.

The hotel is in a nice area with quick access to the beach, and the rooms are clean and well-kept. The staff was very helpful, making check-in easy. However, the added resort and parking fees can make it feel overpriced. The beach access isn't ideal, as it's across a busy road and has some rocky areas, so exploring other beach options is necessary.
